What happens on the day

Your dancer joins a regular class alongside our current students — not a separate beginner session. That's deliberate. It's the only honest way to see whether the room, the pace and the teacher are the right fit before you commit to a term.

  1. 10 min early

    Arrive and check in

Come to the front entrance at 9116 W Pico Blvd. A staff member will greet you, take a two-minute waiver, and walk your dancer into the studio so nobody has to work out where to go.

  2. Class time

    Warm up, learn, move

Classes run 45 to 55 minutes depending on age. Every class opens with a warm-up, moves through technique, and finishes with choreography the group has been building. New dancers are paired up and given space to watch before joining in — nobody gets put on the spot.

  3. After class

    Talk it through

The instructor will find you at pickup with an honest read on which level and style suits your dancer. If we think another class is a better fit, we'll let you know.

What to wear and bring

Clothing

Leggings, shorts, or a leotard — anything that moves. Skip jeans, dresses, and anything with zippers or buttons.

Shoes

Ballet shoes if you have them. We recommend clean indoor sneakers for hip hop and jazz, and tap shoes for tap. Bare feet work for contemporary and acro. Don't buy anything for a trial.

Hair

Pulled back and off the face. A bun for ballet, a ponytail for everything else.

Also bring

A labelled water bottle. That's it — we have everything else.

Finding us

9116 W Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90035
In Pico-Robertson, between Doheny and Robertson. About ten minutes from Beverly Hills, Century City and Beverlywood.

Parking: free street parking on Pico and the residential side streets. Check the posted signs — some blocks are permit-only after 6 PM. Give yourself an extra five minutes at peak class times.

Drop-off: a designated drop-off area is available behind the building.

Waiting: the lobby has seating if you'd like to stay. Younger dancers settle faster when parents wait outside the studio room rather than in it.

Questions we get a lot

Is the trial class really free?

Yes. No card, no deposit, no auto-enrolment. One free trial per dancer, and you're welcome to try a second style at the regular drop-in rate if you're deciding between two.

What ages can take a trial class?

Every age we teach, from age 2 through adult. Our youngest dancers start in creative movement classes designed for toddlers; from about age 5 we split by style and level. If you're unsure which level fits, call us and we'll place them.

My child has never danced before. Will they be behind?

No — most trial dancers have never taken a class. Our instructors bring new dancers in gradually and pair them with a student who knows the routine. Nobody is asked to perform on their first day.

Can I stay and watch?

You're welcome to wait in the lobby. We keep parents out of the studio room during class because kids focus better without an audience — but the instructor will always talk with you afterwards.

What if we need to cancel or reschedule?

Just call or email before the class starts and we'll move you to another time. There's no penalty.

What happens if we want to enrol after the trial?

We'll set you up the same day through our booking system. Tuition is billed monthly, and we offer sibling discounts for families enrolling more than one dancer.

Do you offer adult classes?

Yes. Adult classes run in the evenings and follow the same trial policy — your first one is free.
